This guide ranks online menopause programs by the lowest price each publishes, explains what is left out of a low headline, and shows how to keep the monthly total down. Every figure comes from the program's own page and is also live on our price table.

Cheapest HRT online: ranked by lowest published price

Prices are the lowest monthly plan each program lists on its own site, read on 5 November 2026. "All in" means one price covers the clinician, medication and shipping. A "from" price can rise with dose, form or supply length.

Rank Program Lowest monthly price What it buys All in? Source
1 Musely $37 Estradiol pill, 2-month supply, auto-refill Medication, doctor review; a first-order visit fee may apply Musely
2 Winona $54 Estradiol tablets, auto-refill Visit and shipping included Winona
3 Gala Health $69 Menopause program, one monthly price Yes, medication and review included Gala Health
4 Found $89 Estrogen or progesterone alone, without insurance Yes, visits, medication and shipping Found
5 Sesame $59 Subscription for video visits No, medication paid at a pharmacy Sesame
6 Lemonaid $48.33 $145 every 3 months, auto-renews No, medication billed separately Lemonaid
7 LifeMD $79 Women's Health Program No, medication billed separately LifeMD
8 Hone Health $213 $155 membership plus $58 estradiol gel Yes, but membership is required Hone Health

The order above is by the real cost of getting estradiol delivered, not by the sticker price alone. Sesame, Lemonaid and LifeMD list a lower or similar entry number, but the medication is an extra charge, so the true total is higher than the figure shown. For a ranking by quality as well as price, see our best online HRT programs.

Cheapest estradiol: pill, patch or gel

The hormone is the same estradiol the ovaries make. The form changes the price.

  • Pill. The cheapest form online. Musely lists the estrogen pill at the lowest price on our table, and Winona's tablets are the next step up.
  • Patch. Costs more per month, as the table below shows. Our estradiol patch guide compares brands and prices.
  • Gel. Hone Health sells estradiol gel, but only with its required membership.
Form Program Price Source
Patch Winona $149 a month Winona
Patch Alloy $100 per 1-month supply, plus a one-time consult fee Alloy
Gel Hone Health $58 a month, plus the $155 membership Hone Health

Patches and pills relieve hot flashes about equally well. The Menopause Society's 2022 statement says "Transdermal estradiol and oral CEE are similarly effective in alleviating VMS" (The Menopause Society). Who should choose which route is a decision for you and a clinician, since the same statement says the clotting evidence for patches is observational.

Cheapest progesterone

If you have a uterus, estrogen is normally taken with a progestogen. Progesterone is usually a second charge. The lowest progesterone price on our table is $39 a month (Winona). Found prices estrogen plus progesterone together as one plan, which can beat paying for two products. See our HRT cost guide for how the layers add up.

What a low price can leave out

  1. A first-visit or consult fee. Alloy states its one-time consult fee "is required" (Alloy).
  2. A required membership. PlushCare says "any medication or lab work costs are not included" (PlushCare). A membership bills in months when you do not need a refill.
  3. Medication billed separately. Lemonaid and LifeMD bill the drug on top of the membership.
  4. Auto-refill and supply length. A 2-month or 3-month supply is billed in one charge, so the monthly figure is an average.
  5. Labs. Some programs order labs only when clinically useful and do not state the cost.
  6. Compounded versus FDA-approved. Some low prices are for compounded products, which the FDA does not review for safety and effectiveness as finished products. Our compounded versus FDA-approved guide explains the difference.

Can insurance make HRT cheaper than cash?

Often, for generic estradiol filled at your own pharmacy. A program that only prescribes, with the drug billed to your plan, can cost less than a cash-pay subscription, but insurers set their own rules. See does insurance cover HRT and how much HRT costs online. Our top-scored program, Winona, lists $39 a month.

How to keep the monthly total down

  • Ask for a 90-day supply where the program offers it.
  • Choose a pill or gel over a patch if your clinician agrees it suits you.
  • Add up estrogen, progesterone, visit fees and labs before you subscribe.
  • Check the cancellation terms. Gala Health, for example, asks for 72 hours' notice before billing.
  • Compare against your insurance copay for the generic.

FAQ

Cheapest hormone replacement therapy online: which program is it?

On our table, Winona lists the lowest estradiol price at $54 a month. Programs that bill the medication separately can look cheaper at first and cost more by the end of the month. Compare the all-in column, and check our live cost table because prices change.

What is the cheapest estradiol patch online?

Patches cost more than pills. Alloy and Winona publish patch prices on their own pages, and both are in the form table above. Hone Health sells gel rather than a patch. Patch stock can also vary, so see our estrogen patch shortage guide.

Is cheap online HRT safe?

Price does not decide safety. Look for FDA-approved estradiol, a licensed clinician who reviews your history, and clear terms. Estrogen carries label warnings that apply at any price, including a boxed warning on older labels. A clinician should check your risks before prescribing.

Is compounded HRT cheaper than FDA-approved HRT?

Sometimes the monthly price is lower, but a compounded cream or troche is not an FDA-approved finished product. The FDA does not review it for safety and effectiveness, so a lower price is not the same product. Read the compounded versus FDA-approved guide before deciding.

Does HRT cost less with insurance?

It can, for generic estradiol at your own pharmacy, if your plan lists it. Cash-pay programs usually do not bill insurance. Whether coverage beats a low cash price depends on your plan, so compare your copay with the cash column. See does insurance cover HRT.

Do I need a separate fee for the doctor visit?

It depends on the program. Gala Health and Winona state the clinician is included in their price. Memberships and per-visit models charge for the visit separately. Read the "what it buys" column and the program's page before you pay.
